anCnoc 2009 Vintage Scotch Whisky.
A Vintage expression release has become a tradition at anCnoc and their 2009 vintage (bottled 2021) is a fitting testimony to the time-honoured methods employed in the production of this traditional yet distinctly modern single malt.
Knockdhu distillery was founded in 1893 by John Morrison to produce whisky for Haig’s after several springs on the southern slope of Knock Hill were discovered.
anCnoc meaning ‘the hill’ was previously named Knockdhu after the distillery, but was renamed anCnoc in 1994 to avoid confusion with Knockando.
