The Story Behind the Bottle
John Morrison founded the Knockdhu distillery in 1893. He discovered pure springs on Knock Hill and built the distillery to supply the legendary Haig’s blends. The distillery originally named the whisky after itself. However, they renamed it anCnoc (meaning “the hill”) in 1994 to avoid confusion with nearby Knockando.
