Released as one of two expressions to join the Singleton range in 2014, The other being Sunray and both NAS expressions. Tailfire (and Sunray) were originally launched to try to attract a younger market by introducing them to new tastes in specific cask maturation. Both expressions were discontinued just a few years later.
- Nose: Fresh, crisp apple, red grape, raspberry, candied orange peel. Vanilla sweetness, hay, wild strawberries. Hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and fresh-cut grass. Fruity Christmas cake with marzipan.
- Palate: Spicy berry fruitiness, buttery vanilla, nutty wood. Oats, pepper, chocolate-covered cherries, stewed plums. Malt, sweet orange, and fig notes.
- Finish: Drying and hot with fruitiness. Spicy oak, bitter lemon, and lingering malty biscuits.
