Produced at the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Storm Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been made by the sea since 1830. Its smell and taste instantly connecting you to its rugged maritime home. Every sip is a taste of the Isle of Skye itself, one of the most remote, rugged, yet beautiful landscapes in Scotland. Talisker Storm is a dark, smoky, more brooding member of the Talisker family, with notes of wood, brine and spice that puts you right at the heart of a storm at sea. Talisker Storm is a perfect gift for adorers of Talisker, looking to explore depth of smoky, spicy quality. Released in 2013 given a more intense flavour profile than the standard 10 year old.
The story of Talisker begins in 1830, when brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill founded the Talisker distillery in Carbost on the wild shores of the Isle of Skye. For nearly two centuries, Talisker has been committed to capturing the wild spirit of its birthplace, inspiring whisky lovers to experience the elemental beauty of Skye in every sip. (Diageo)
Official Tasting Notes
Powerful, fresh-clean, and growing in complexity like a gathering storm. Sweet maltiness with ripe red berry fruit moves to smoke, brine, and an explosion of pepper.
Medium.
Mellow and rich, then very spicy: a pure, tongue-coating sweetness joins a nutty smokiness to embrace those spicier notes.
Drier and of medium-length, with a lasting, smooth aftertaste, in which light peaty burnt embers can be found.
