Each drop of the Chivas Regal 18-year-Old Blended Scotch whisky has been finished in First Fill Japanese Oak casks, a rarity even amongst Japanese whiskies. These remarkable casks are made using delicate Japanese Mizunara Oak that are up to 200 years old, making them not only difficult to source but also difficult to work with. Handcrafted by a team of talented and highly experienced master coopers, the oak imparts wonderfully well-balanced notes of sweet clementine, pears, vanilla, and exotic spices. The resulting finish is an intriguing marriage of Scottish complexity and passion with Japanese elegance and refinement. This exquisite blend is non chill-filtered to maintain its deep amber hue.
