An older expression that was released at the end of 2011 and discontinued 2018 when the distillery core range was revised and rebranded. This Jura 12 year old was finished in a mixture of American white oak and sherry casks.
Jura 12 Year Old Elixir, the whisky that was bottled to symbolise the rebirth of the Jura distillery and the reconstruction of the community. Each bottle showcases the ancient Celtic symbol of the beginning. Elixir has the symbol of the water of the island of Jura, which is believed to have mystical, life-giving qualities. Local legend has it imbueing some medicinal properties or even the ability to prolong life.
