This brand was created as a premium extension of The Famous Grouse family. It was originally known as Naked Grouse, but was rebranded simply to Naked Malt. What sets it apart from typical blended Scotches is that it completely leaves out grain whisky. Instead, it is a pure blended malt made entirely from premium single malts. The blend features top-tier spirits like Macallan and Highland Park. To give it its signature character, the liquid finishes in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks for at least six months. These casks have never held Scotch before, so they intensely flavour the whisky. This creates a smooth, naturally sweet profile. You will notice distinct notes of toffee, warm baking spices, dried fruit, and rich vanilla custard.
