Flora & Fauna Mannochmore 12 Year Old
After their 1988 success with the introduction of the six expressions of the Classic Malts range, United Distillers thought they could capitalise on this with the release of another 22 single malts in 1991. Although not their official name, these became affectionately known as the Flora & Fauna series, due to whisky writer, Michael Jackson referencing it as the style of their labels. The idea was to showcase unappreciated distilleries from the company’s extensive portfolio at the time. The intent was to use collective branding to help them raise each other’s profiles. Despite four further additions in 2001, only a handful of these are still permanent distillery bottlings, making it a highly collectible series.
This is the only official bottling to come out of the Speyside distillery.
