Glenmorangie Distillery Manager’s Collection
First fill Amontillado Sherry Cask No. 475 was distilled in 2010. On 23-06-2021 it was specially selected by distillery manager Edward Thom to be bottled as thank you gifts for employees. The remainder of just 172 bottles were specially packaged, numbered and signed by him then released to the market. Our purchase was the very last two bottles of Glenmorangie Distillery Manager’s Collection to leave the gates. In our opinion, these are sure to become a collector’s item!
OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: Bronze
AROMA: Bursts of orange syrup and nutty toffee fill the nose, alongside beeswax, honey and baking bread. A splash of water release top notes of Carnations, followed by hints of mandarin and syrup pudding.
TASTE: A luscious oily mouthfeel brings waves of sweetness and spice, toffee and fudge melt into pecan nuts and orange, alongside linseed oil, nutmeg and aniseed.
FINISH: Long, sweet and spicy with notes of clove and brazil nuts in toffee.
RATING: Exceptional
