G&M Distillery Label Longmorn 2008/2022
Building and nurturing long-lasting relationships has always been key to curating our collection of single malt whiskies. For instance, we source the finest quality casks from Sherry bodegas in Jerez, Spain. Similarly, we partner with American Oak cooperages in Kentucky. Ultimately, these deep bonds have shaped our foundations and continue to develop the future of Gordon & MacPhail.
Furthermore, our mutual support and friendship with Scottish producers allows us to mature and bottle unique whiskies. Consequently, Gordon & MacPhail has traditionally released these expressions under a unique ‘house’ label for each distillery. For example, our ‘Distillery Labels’ series showcases individual producers like Scapa in Orkney. It also features Speyside classics such as Strathisla, Longmorn, and Glen Grant. Remarkably, we have worked with some of these partners for over a century.
Because of these trusted relationships, we were among the first companies to share these unique styles with consumers. Today, the ‘Distillery Labels’ range dovetails perfectly into our ‘Rare Vintage’ collection. This exclusive line serves as the home to our exceptionally rare single malts. Naturally, these bottles also feature their original, historic distillery labels.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Stewed raisin and pressed apple aromas complement autumnal spices.
Palate: Strawberry flavours combine with citrus and walnut.
Finish: A full finish with ripe plum and chocolate.
