PC8 is the last aged number of the 2001 vintage bottles. These peated fiends were limited annual bottlings, the initial offering being dropped in 2006 as PC5, with the number suffix denoting the age. PC8 is the fourth annual limited release and was bottled as an 8 year old in 2009.

Port Charlotte PC8 Ar Duthchas

Ar Duthchas is a Gaelic expression meaning both Our Land and Our Heritage, and is an ancient term used to express the deep relationship of a tribe, clan or community with the land that they and their forefathers have inhabited.

  • Peat level: Peated to 40ppm (parts per million) of phenols, which is considered a high level and a key part of its identity.
  • Nose: A sweet, and smoky profile, combining intense peat with vanilla, citrus, honey, and sea spray on the nose
  • Palate: An oily palate with peat fire, dark chocolate, oak, and salty notes
  • Finish: A long finish with warming peat and lingering sweetness
