Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 Year old expression is designed to be a “mouth-watering odyssey” that is both creamy and complex. Lasanta (Gaelic for “warmth and passion”) was the replacement for the original ‘Sherry Wood’ finish that was discontinued in 2007.
- Color: Warm Sunset (Auburn).
- Nose: Warm spices mixed with smooth chocolate-covered raisins, honeycomb, and caramel toffee. There are also notes of citrus orange zest and dried fruits like apricots.
- Palate: A velvety, rich combination of sherry-flavored sultanas, orange segments, walnuts, and butterscotch. It boasts a creamy texture with layers of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Finish: Long, lingering, and comforting, with notes of spice and dried fruit.
- Maturation: Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks for 10 years, then finished for 2 years in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
