Crafted Once a Year
For just one week each year, Glenmorangie halts all standard production. The distillery fills its famous, giraffe-high copper stills exclusively with heavily roasted chocolate malted barley. This rare run floods the distillery with the intense espresso aromas of an Italian coffee bar, yielding a precious, deeply concentrated spirit found nowhere else in the Scotch world.

A Masterclass in Cask Selection
To temper the spirit’s dark intensity, Dr Bill marries this unique chocolate malt distillate with some of the oldest, rarest whiskies in the Glenmorangie reserves (some believed to be as much 40 years old). He then matures the liquid across a complex selection of hand-picked casks:
