Glenmorangie The Tayne

Following on from the release of ‘The Duthac’ in 2015, this expression from Glenmorangie was released in early 2016 as part of ‘The Legends’ travel retail range. It was then followed by ‘The Tarlogan’ and ‘The Cadboll’.  The Tayne was matured in rarely chosen Amontillado cask for its finishing, given a nod to its Spanish naming.

  • Colour: Rich Mahogany.
  • Nose: Characterised by unusual floral top notes of rose petals and roast chestnuts. These are layered with sweet toffee, Muscovado sugar, and tropical fruits, such as peaches, mango, and orange.
  • Palate: A warming texture that delivers rich, sweet flavours of toffee and Muscovado sugar alongside the fruit notes found on the nose. Some official descriptions also note a “strong and spicy” profile with ginger and dominant oak.
  • Finish: Described as having a long, gentle nuttiness specifically reminiscent of Brazil Nuts embedded in toffee.
