Fettercairn 16 Year Old Scotch Whisky 2nd Release 70cl
This is the second release of the Fettercairn distillery’s 16 year old.
So far there has been 4 yearly limited releases with different flavour profiles for each. Bottled in 2021, and whilst not all purists would agree, the higher ABV than the 12 year old gives your taste buds a surprising but pleasant jolt.
“Each of our annual release 16 Year Old whiskies tell their own story reflected in the character and flavours of each of them,” said Stewart Walker, Fettercairn’s Distillery Manager. “With every limited edition, we not only share more about how we make our whiskies, but also the care and craft that goes into nurturing the spirit as it makes its way to maturation. This is what brings our story to life and shows just what makes us different, progressive, and often surprising!”

Official Tasting Notes
- Nose: Aromas of sugared almonds, dried fruits, and aged wood.
- Taste: Alphonso mango, citrus zest, apricots, walnuts, and coffee.
- Finish: The finish is noted for its salted caramel, sandalwood, and iced ginger cake.
