Glen Deveron 1992 (15 Year Old) Pure Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
This bottling is widely recognized by collectors for the graphic illustration of smooth river stones on the lower front label. While the bottle says “Glen Deveron,” the liquid was actually produced at the Macduff Distillery, located on the banks of the River Deveron in the Eastern Highlands. Historically, official releases used the name “Glen Deveron” to sound more traditional. Following a massive brand overhaul by parent company Bacardi, the ‘Glen‘ was permanently retired and replaced under the modern title The Deveron. This era heavily utilized European oak Sherry casks alongside Ex-Bourbon barrels, resulting in a deep amber hue.
TASTING NOTES
- Nose: Opens with clear cereal notes, toasted hazelnut, vanilla custard, and crisp orchard pears.
- Palate: Light and creamy texture featuring warm plums, stewed apples, light honey, and a hint of coastal salinity.
- Finish: Medium length with soft baking spices, warming vanilla, and dry wood tannins
