Glenmorangie The Duthac
This expression from Glenmorangie was bottled in early 2015 as the inaugural release of ‘The Legends’ travel retail range. It was then followed by ‘The Tayne’ in 2016, ‘The Tarlogan’ and ‘The Cadboll’. Named after St Duthac, and the pilgrimage of James IV to his shrine in the centre of Tain. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry and charred virgin oak casks. This is a rich and mellow expression with just enough sweetness from the sherry influence. It is best sampled with a little water to unearth the chocolate and butterscotch.
