Fettercairn Fior Scotch Whisky 70cl
This was one of only two single malts, the other being Fasque, that Fettercairn produced at the time. The majority of production going into blends, including its parent company’s own Whyte & Mackay brand. In 2018 both malts were discontinued and replaced with a new core range of four .
Fettercairn uses a unique process in distilling its spirit. The pot stills are fitted with an irrigator ring that surrounds the swan neck and soaks it with water. This cools the rising vapours inside, causing them to drop back into the pot, increasing reflux and helping to produce a lighter style of spirit.
