Aberlour White Oak 2013/2023
Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023, this is a highly regarded Speyside malt that was matured exclusively in American White Oak casks. This was originally a French market exclusive but limited quantities were kept and released in the home market to stem the tears of the fans who missed the now discontinued standard 10 year that had a sherried profile.
- Nose: Fresh, featuring notes of vanilla, ripe apples, white peach, and delicate honey.
- Palate: Soft and smooth with a creamy texture, showcasing caramel, almond, and subtle white oak wood influence.
- Finish: Medium-length, mild, and sweet, with lingering notes of vanilla and light spices.
- Color: Light gold.
