Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 0001
Casg Annamh means ‘rare cask’ in Gaelic, and it’s well named. It’s matured in carefully selected Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts. Both of which perfectly complement Aberlour’s distillate flavour, bringing sweet and rich notes.
The Whisky Club reckon they bought a large proportion of the available world stock of this first release. If that is so then this is a rare opportunity for getting your hands on one of these. Batch 0011 is the most current release.
Official Tasting Notes
- Colour: Golden Amber
- Nose: Rich and sweet, filled with fruity notes of tangy orange, glazed cherries, and raisins, with a subtle hint of ginger.
- Palate: A warm, sweet, and fruity blend of apple and cinnamon crumble, ripe peaches, and spicy notes of liquorice and cloves.
- Finish: Long and rich; fruity with a gentle, dry spice.

ABV: 48%
