Benromach 21 Year old
Hailing from one of the last few family owned Scottish distillery’s, this multi award winning whisky is beautifully aged in a combination of first fill bourbon and sherry casks. A perfect dance between the cask influences and the subtle smoke characteristics.
The extra years devoted to maturing this 21 year old shows in the more pronounced Sherry influence of with the oak casks sourced from the “Sherry triangle”, Jerez in Spain, with the charred oak finish being influenced by the bourbon barrels.
