The distillery releases this expression without an official age statement. However, the complex blend incorporates select single malts aged up to 16 years. Workers initially matured the spirit in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels. Subsequently, they finished the liquid using a vibrant combination of Amoroso Sherry and Pinot Noir wine casks.
Tasting Notes
- Color: Reddish amber / deep gold.
- Nose: Light, sweet wisps of campfire smoke and sea salt, opening into vanilla, rich raisins, plum, honey, and subtle citrus notes like orange.
- Palate: A mid-weight, full mouthfeel with contrasting flavors. Sweet notes of honey, dark berries, and cocoa give way to a building dry spice consisting of ginger, clove, and pepper.
- Finish: Medium to short in length, ending on a dry, slightly bitter oak note accompanied by lingering hints of ash and warm spice.
