Laphroaig 10 Year Old
The original 10 year old expression is Laphroaig’s foundation of all their whisky created to bottle the nature of Islay. Expect a big peaty slap, hints of seaweed and a surprising sweetness.
This is the slighter older pre 2023 bottling before the updated labelling, along with new, more environmentally friendly packaging.

Colour
Sparkling gold appearance.
Nose
Heavy smoke, peat, iodine, sea spray, and faint medicinal antiseptic (TCP/plasters), with subtle sweet notes of vanilla and caramel.
Taste
A powerful, oily blend of charcoal, smoked fish, and brine, giving way to surprising notes of oak, sweet malt, seaweed, and licorice.
Finish
Long, dry, and smoky with intense, lingering phenolic, tarry, and salty notes.
