The first release of their anniversary series, to celebrate the new spirit flowing on 25th January 2013. The plan being to release one every year, to not only celebrate each year of the distillery but to coincide with the annual Burns night and ensure that this great Scot is well toasted.
Although still a young distillery, Wolfburn was first established in 1821 in Thurso, on Scotland’s far north coast.
Production ceased in 1850s, with Wolfburn’s new distillery started in 2012 very close to the old site. With production starting in 2013, their inaugural expression was released in February 2016.
They continue to make their whisky the same way it was always made: by hand, using only the finest ingredients, and without haste. Wolfburn’s whisky is distilled, matured and bottled on-site.
